Graphic Designer

Location: Shanghai
Position: Project-basis
Reporting to: Idea Inker

Responsibilities:

  • Take briefs as part of a wider creative team and help generate ideas to present back to the our senior creatives
  • Have a good knowledge and the ability to execute a range of different design styles and layouts
  • Coordinate with project leads to determine their requirements, timescale and budget
  • Develop concepts, graphics and layouts, including making decisions that are on brief
  • Keep project team lead and senior creatives up to date on progress
  • Listen and act on feedback, and explain the rationale behind graphic design decisions
  • Review final layouts and suggest improvements if required.
  • Liaise with external production partners to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed or presented to the highest quality.
  • Coordinate and prepare final artwork with printers and suppliers as required
  • Image research and documentation as required

The Successful Candidate:

  • Must be bilingual – fluent in Chinese and English. Chinese National is preferred.
  • At least 2-4 years working experience in a graphic design role, preferably in an international agency
  • Strong background in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Strong layout skills (colour, typography and composition)
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, plus proofing skills
  • Ability to prioritize projects, as well as work under pressure to meet deadlines, and across multiple projects
  • Good communication skills, self-motivated and takes initiative
  • Have a good understanding of print media, digital media, branding and interactive design
  • A willingness to stay current: keeping skills and knowledge update to industry trends and software
  • Think proactively on behalf of the agency, considering new design/digital initiatives, trends and tools

Project Team Coordinator

Location: Shanghai
Position: Full Time
Reporting to: Project Powerhouse

The Orangeblowfish is looking for a Project Team Coordinator to join our team to help support all aspects of clients’ projects, as assigned.

These include:

  • Assisting the project team with research, daily communications with stakeholders and keeping a tab of client deliverables.
  • Updating project timelines, client reports, meeting agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Being the daily point of contact for communication with vendors for assigned projects. This includes following up on quotations, deliverables and delivery schedules.
  • Recognising risks and applying creative problem skills to help mitigate risks. Escalating to project lead as required.
  • Assisting in other tasks as required.

The ideal candidate will be required to have:

  • Be organised and able to handle multiple requests with grace.
  • Have strong communication and logical reasoning skills.
  • Language requirements: Fluent in Chinese and English – written and spoken.
  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving.
  • Able to deal with working under pressure whilst delivering high quality results to meet client and team expectations.
  • Solid reputation when it comes to servicing clients.
  • Experience working with international, cross-cultural and remote teams is a plus.
