What Does the Year of the Dragon Represent?
In Chinese culture, dragons symbolize good luck, strength and power. Did you know that the Dragon is the only animal on the Chinese zodiac that is a mythical creature?
In a nutshell, they’re energetic, impulsive, and are generally confident in nature. They also exude power and charisma and may at times have an ego.
While we’re not zodiac experts, we believe that this is going to be an extremely exciting year for all! Why? Because Dragons are competitive and they always want to win! Hence, we hope that everyone wins big this year – regardless of health, business, or relationships!

Our Design Inspiration Behind the Red Packets
To welcome the new Lunar New Year, The Orangeblowfish designed limited edition Red Packets to share with our community. We ran a competition on WeChat and 50 winners were selected to receive one set of our limited edition designs. And as you would have guessed, everything The Orangeblowfish designs is unique. Our red packet isn’t just a red packet. It is designed to be used in many different ways.
For our design inspiration we used the iconic Chinese vessels. According to Britannica, Ancient Chinese vessels were used in ceremonies for sacrificial offerings of meat, wine, and grain, primarily to the spirits of clan ancestors, especially those of the ruler and his family. These vessels were usually kept in the ancestral hall of the clan, and, perhaps even buried with their owner.
Why did we choose Chinese vessels you may ask? Because our red packets are also reusable as a vase to display flowers!

Instructions on How to Display Our Red Packets
Step 1: Fold the the back into a holder according to the crease on the back.
Step 2: Insert flowers (or other decorations) into the seams on the top.
